MILFORD — The road to a Massachusetts American Legion Baseball state championship begins this weekend as eight district champions and runners-up converge on Fino Field in Milford for the 2026 Massachusetts American Legion Baseball State Tournament.
Host Milford Post 59, the District 4 champion, will welcome seven of the state’s top teams for the double-elimination tournament, with local fans guaranteed plenty to cheer for. Districts 4 and 6 each earned two bids to the state tournament, meaning four of the eight teams come from Central and Eastern Massachusetts.
Milford enters the tournament after capturing the District 4 title and will be joined by district runner-up Leominster Post 151, giving District 4 two legitimate contenders for the state crown.
District 6 will also be well represented by Franklin Post 75 and Hyde Park Post 78. Franklin enters the tournament with an unblemished 15-0 record, looking to continue its dominant season against the best competition Massachusetts has to offer. Hyde Park earned its place after another strong campaign and gives District 6 a second team capable of making a deep postseason run.
The remaining four teams each claimed district championships to earn their trips to Milford. Beverly Post 331 represents District 8, Greenfield Post 81 enters as the District 3A champion, Northampton Post 28 qualified as the District 3B champion, and Sandwich Post 188 earned the District 10 championship.
