
1934 - 2026
Born on January 14th, 1934, in Spain, Ramon was the son of the late Francisco Garcia and Isabel Vasquez de Garcia. He spent his early childhood in Spain before moving with much of his family to Cuba at the age of 14. In 1961, Ramon immigrated to the United States, first living in Florida, then New York, before settling in Millis with his wife and two children in 1976.
Throughout his life, Ramon owned and operated several businesses, including painting, construction, and contracting companies. He was known for his tireless work ethic and unwavering dedication to providing for his family.
Outside of work, Ramon found joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved eating apples and bananas, playing dominoes, teaching others the game's strategies, and celebrating every victory. He treasured spending time outdoors, taking walks in the park, and creating lasting memories with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ramon is survived by his children, Ramon Garcia Jr. of Millis and Anna Garcia Glynn of Millis; his grandchildren, Shawn Glynn, Mikaela Cushman and her husband, William, Nicholas Glynn, Danielle Sullivan and her husband, Robert, Nicole Poissant, and Danielle Poissant; and his great-grandchildren, Tyler Cushman, Jason Murray, Mason Cushman, Amelia Murray, Lilly Sullivan, and Nora Sullivan.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Paco Garcia, Gloria Villasante, Pepe Garcia, Manolo Garcia, Esther Garcia, Luis Garcia, Isabel Diaz, and Alfonso Garcia.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, July 25th at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Church on Village Street in Medway.
A private Celebration of Life gathering for family and close friends will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dementia Society of America through Dementia Society of America Donations.
