BELLINGHAM/FRANKLIN – A Newton man is facing multiple charges after allegedly leading police on a pursuit from Bellingham into Franklin.
Police say an officer in Bellingham attempted to stop a vehicle driven by Daniel Robinson for alleged motor vehicle violations, but Robinson instead accelerated onto Interstate 495. The pursuing officer discontinued the chase for safety reasons.
A short time later, Franklin Police located the vehicle and followed it to Panther Way, where Robinson allegedly abandoned the car and attempted to flee on foot. Officers quickly took him into custody.
Robinson faces several charges, including Driving to Endanger and Operating a Motor Vehicle After Suspension.
