1943 - 2026
Born in Framingham, Nancy was the daughter of the late Stuart H. Merrifield and Doris (Wright) Merrifield. She was the devoted wife of the late David Ring.
Raised in Hopkinton, Nancy developed a lifelong love of books and reading. She shared that passion with the community while working at the Hopkinton Public Library. She also dedicated more than 20 years of service as an executive secretary at U.S. Army Natick Laboratories, where she was known for her professionalism, dedication, and strong work ethic.
Nancy is survived by her daughters, Susan Taranto and her husband, Mark, of Westborough, and Tammey White and her husband, Richard, of Florida. She also leaves behind her brother, Frank Merrifield and his wife, Dorothy, of Loganville, Georgia; her sister, Lois Hansen of Danvers; several cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Nancy was predeceased by her brother, Wayne Merrifield of Hopkinton.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 11th, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home, located at 57 Hayden Rowe Street in Hopkinton.
A funeral service will follow at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
Burial will take place on Wednesday, August 12th, at 10:30 AM at the Wildwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
