FRAMINGHAM – The former co-director of the MetroWest Chamber of Commerce is facing a new set of embezzlement charges just two years after pleading guilty in a previous case.
According to the Milford Daily News, Stephanie Hirshon was ordered held without bail after being arraigned on allegations that she embezzled money from an Essex County company.
Hirshon previously pleaded guilty in 2024 to stealing thousands of dollars from the MetroWest Chamber of Commerce and was sentenced to probation. Prosecutors say the new allegations constitute a probation violation, leading to her being held in custody.
She has pleaded not guilty to the new charges and is scheduled to return to court later this month.
