FRANKLIN — Franklin Post 75 improved to 14-0 to stay perfect this season with an 11-4 victory over Needham Post 14 on Monday night, using a complete-game effort from Brady Short to earn the win.
Franklin scored in four different innings, highlighted by a six-run second inning that helped create separation. The offense finished with 11 runs on eight hits, while drawing six walks and taking advantage of Needham’s three defensive errors.
At the plate, Sean Kryzak led the way, going 2-for-4 with three RBIs and a double. Jack Sullivan added two hits and two RBIs, while Owen Miller blasted a solo home run as part of a 1-for-4 evening. Silas Chin scored twice and collected a hit, while Gavin Heneghan crossed the plate three times after drawing three walks.
On the mound, Brady Short tossed a complete game, allowing four runs on eight hits over seven innings while striking out nine to earn the victory.
With the victory, Franklin heads into the postseason carrying momentum after another balanced performance on both sides of the ball. Strong pitching from Short and an offense that produced extra-base hits throughout the lineup gave Post 75 exactly the type of complete game it was looking for with just one game remaining in the regular season.
