WORCESTER – Project New Hope recently kicked off its Veterans’ Farmers Market season by serving 112 veterans and their families at the Worcester VA Clinic.
With the help of dedicated staff, volunteers, and community partner Boston Area Gleaners, veterans were able to take home fresh, nutritious fruits and vegetables at no cost.
The weekly farmers market is designed to improve access to healthy food while supporting those who have served our country. Organizers expressed their gratitude to everyone who helped make the first market of the season a success and hope to serve even more veterans at next week’s event.
Founded by service-connected disabled Air Force veteran Bill Moore, Project New Hope provides programs and services that support the health and well-being of veterans and their families throughout New England.
