1942 - 2026
Born in Gardner, Geoffrey was the son of the late Ralph and Irma (Waaranen) Wood. He was raised and educated in Gardner and graduated from Gardner High School in 1960.
After working a variety of jobs as a young man, Geoffrey built a career as a welder. Outside of work, he enjoyed life's simple pleasures, including good food, reading, solving crossword puzzles, and processing firewood.
In addition to his wife, Diana, Geoffrey is survived by his son, Adrian R. Wood and his wife Maria of Manchester, Connecticut; his daughter, Elena M. Wood and her husband Alex of Westborough; his sister, Judy Allen and her husband Wilber of Oneida, New York; and his three grandchildren, Jenna, Evelyn, and Julia.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 11th at 11 AM at the Pickering & Son Westborough Funeral Home, located at62 West Main Street in Westborough.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Geoffrey's memory may be made to the Cure Alzheimer's Fund.
