HOPEDALE – A man is facing drunken driving charges after crashing his vehicle into a stone wall at Hopedale South Cemetery.
Hopedale Police say officers responded to numerous 911 calls after the crash on Plain Street. When they arrived, they found the driver, identified as Christopher Bruce, standing outside the vehicle with what appeared to be minor injuries.
Police allege they detected the odor of alcohol, observed an open container inside the vehicle, and determined Bruce failed field sobriety tests.
He has been charged with Operating Under the Influence and Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
