FRANKLIN – The head of Bishop Feehan High School has confirmed that the 15-year-old boy killed in a bicycle crash Tuesday afternoon in Franklin was one of the school’s students.

The teen has been identified as Oliver Lewis, a freshman who was a member of the school’s honor roll, played soccer, and participated in the school band.

Lewis was riding his bicycle on King Street near the Interstate 495 off-ramp when, for reasons that remain under investigation, he collided with an SUV. He was transported to UMass Memorial Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.

Franklin Police say the driver remained at the scene and is cooperating fully with investigators. No charges have been filed as the investigation continues.
