HOPEDALE — Hopedale Youth Baseball Association is inviting players, families, and community members for a special “Polar Park Takeover” fundraiser this summer.
The event will take place on Saturday, July 25, at 4:05 p.m. when the WooSox host the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp at Polar Park. Tickets purchased through the Hopedale Youth Baseball Association link include reserved seating along the third-base line, with $5 from each ticket supporting the local youth baseball program.
In addition to enjoying an afternoon of Triple-A baseball, fans will have the opportunity to participate in a special postgame “Sunset Catch on the Field” experience. Following the final out, attendees will be welcomed onto the field to play catch on the same diamond used by future major league players.
“All Hopedale Youth Baseball families are welcome for sunset catch in the field,” said WooSox Director of Group Ticket Sales Tom Steiger. “It is a great opportunity for them to play on a big diamond at Polar Park and grow the aspirations and dreams of playing in the big leagues.”
The event is open to all supporters of Hopedale Youth Baseball and serves as both a community gathering and fundraiser for the organization. Organizers are encouraging families to wear their Hopedale blue and help fill the ballpark in support of local youth athletics.
For Hopedale’s young ballplayers, it’s a chance to experience professional baseball up close while supporting the future of the game in their hometown.
