MILFORD — Milford Post 59 was forced to postpone its scheduled American Legion Baseball doubleheader against Vernon Hill and Main South on Sunday due to inclement weather.
The postponement comes on the heels of a successful weekend for Milford, which picked up back-to-back victories over Hudson and Cherry Valley to complete an undefeated 2-0 stretch.
Milford was scheduled to take on Vernon Hill and Main South in a pair of games Sunday, but persistent rain and poor field conditions led to the cancellation of both contests. Information regarding potential makeup dates has not yet been announced.
Milford is scheduled to host Northborough Post 234 tonight at 7 p.m. at Fino Field. The game marks the beginning of another busy week for Post 59 as the team looks to build on the momentum gained from its recent winning streak.
