Elaine devoted her life to the people she cherished most—her family. Her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was raising her four sons: Dale Scovil Jr., Dean Scovil, Dana Scovil, and Dan Scovil.
She was a loving and devoted grandmother to Jamie Scovil, Chelsey Scovil, Brandon Scovil, Corey Scovil, Finn Scovil, and Owen Scovil, and a treasured great-grandmother to Kinsley Devlin. Elaine was predeceased by the father of her children, Dale Scovil Sr., and by her late husband, Wayne Woodside.
She also shared a special bond with her daughters-in-law, Lidia, Maria, and Jen, whom she welcomed into the family with open arms and loved as her own daughters.
Elaine was a constant presence in the lives of her children and grandchildren. Whether it was a school event, sporting event, holiday, or family celebration, she was there whenever she could be. She took immense pride in her family and loved watching each generation grow and thrive.
A dedicated and hardworking woman, Elaine spent many years working for Bose Corporation. Throughout her life, she balanced her career with an unwavering commitment to her loved ones.
Known for her feisty spirit and straightforward nature, Elaine never hesitated to speak her mind. Her honesty, sharp wit, and strong personality made her unforgettable to all who knew her.
She expressed her love through caring for others, especially through food. Family gatherings were made special by her famous meatballs, beloved Thanksgiving gravy, and gooey chocolate chip cookies. Her kitchen was a place where memories were made and family bonds were strengthened.
Elaine also enjoyed playing bingo and looked forward each year to family vacations in Old Orchard Beach, Maine, where some of her happiest memories were created alongside those she loved most.
She was predeceased by her parents, Ada and Vernon Eisnor, and her siblings Bill, Helen, Dottie, Mary, and Barbara. She is survived by her siblings Beverly, Janice, and Vernon.
Elaine will be remembered for her generous heart, unwavering devotion to family, and the countless ways she made those around her feel loved and cared for. Her legacy lives on through the family she treasured and the memories they will forever hold close.
The family is planning a private funeral service.
