Lorraine Palmer, 75, of Millis
1950 - 2026

Born in Plainfield, New Jersey, Lorraine was the daughter of the late Olga (Gerencser) Proto and Francis Proto. She was the beloved wife of Stephen Palmer, with whom she shared nearly 56 years of marriage.

Lorraine’s greatest accomplishment and source of pride was her family. Strong-willed, optimistic, and resilient, she faced her health challenges with remarkable courage and determination. Those who knew her admired her strength and unwavering spirit.

She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially spending time at the beach, with Cape Cod holding a special place in her heart. Lorraine loved gardening and being outdoors, where she could enjoy the sunshine and beauty of nature. A woman of deep faith, she enjoyed reading and was happiest when surrounded by family and friends. Her outgoing personality and warm nature made her a friend to many.

Lorraine was a devoted member of St. Mary's Church and its Wings group, and she was also a former member of the Holliston Garden Club.

In addition to her husband Stephen, she is survived by her daughters, Cheryl English and her husband Shane of Marlborough, and Leanna Lowry and her husband Scott of Watertown, New York. She also leaves behind her sister, Linda SanFilippo and her husband Jim of Toms River, New Jersey; her grandchildren, Alec, Zach, Miles, and Olivia Lowry; and her beloved grand-dog, Henley English.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 15th from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Chesmore Funeral Home, located at 854 Washington Street in Holliston.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 16th at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Mary's Church, located at 8 Church Street in Holliston.

Burial will take place in a private ceremony on Wednesday, June 17th at 11:00 A.M. at Notre Dame Cemetery.

Lorraine will be remembered for her strength, faith, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her legacy of love and resilience will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. 🕊️
