FRANKLIN – Motorists should prepare for a major traffic disruption this weekend as part of the ongoing Beaver Street Interceptor Project.
Beginning shortly after midnight, Beaver Street will be closed at the MBTA railroad crossing until approximately 4 p.m. Monday. Businesses along Beaver Street will remain accessible from either Grove Street or West Central Street, but drivers will not be able to cross the tracks.
The project will also impact commuter rail riders. MBTA service to the Forge Park/495 and Dean College stations will be suspended on Saturday and Sunday, with alternate transportation arrangements in place. Organizers of the Eddie Grant Kickball Tournament remind visitors that access to the event on Sunday should be made via Grove Street.
