MILFORD – Milford officials have announced the completion of the Godfrey Brook Hazard Control Upgrade Project, a major flood mitigation effort supported in part by a FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant.
The project included structural improvements designed to increase the brook’s stormwater capacity and reduce downstream flooding during major rain events. Town officials say the upgrades will help protect nearby homes and businesses from future flood damage. The improvements were identified as a priority in Milford’s 2018 Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan.
