1953 - 2026
He was the beloved husband of Donna (Liberty) Boyan.
Born in Hyannis on February 13, 1953, Tom was the son of the late Walter and Lillian (Labute) Boyan. He spent his early years in Hyde Park before moving to Medway, where he would spend most of his life. He was a graduate of Medway High School.
Tom was known for his hardworking nature and dedication throughout his career. His first job was at Red Gate Farm in Medway before working at FilFast Corporation and Prime Computer. Later, he worked in the Maintenance Department at Medway Country Manor, where he was appreciated for his reliability and friendly personality.
Outside of work, Tom enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved fishing and was a devoted fan of the New England Patriots and his beloved Boston Red Sox — sticking by them no matter how difficult the season became. One of his favorite routines was his Saturday morning trip to the Little Store to visit “Jack,” where he would pick up his weekly lottery numbers and scratch tickets.
In addition to his wife Donna, Tom is survived by his daughters, Shannon Grzyb and her husband Steven of Whitinsville, and Erin Hall and her husband William of Medway.
He was a proud grandfather to Thomas Mele, Jillian Mele, Gianna Mele, Marissa Hall, Michael Hall, Rhyan Grzyb, and Justin Grzyb.
Tom is also survived by his stepchildren, Russell Bemis and his late wife Kerri, and Bonnie Caron and her husband David, along with their children Destini Bemis, Alyssa Pepper, Matthew Caron, and Benjamin Caron.
He also leaves behind his brothers William Boyan and his wife Theresa of South Carolina, James Boyan and his wife Maryanne of Franklin, and Paul Boyan and his wife Cindy of Maine, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Tom will be remembered for his quiet kindness, loyalty to his family and friends, and the joy he found in everyday routines and simple pleasures.
A funeral service will be held at Tuesday, June 2nd, at 10:00 AM at the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, located at 3 Barber Street in Medway.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
