BLACKSTONE – Blackstone Public Library Director Lisa Cheever has been selected to participate in a national gathering of librarians in Washington, D.C. as part of preparations for the country’s upcoming 250th anniversary celebration.
The event, organized by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, will bring together library leaders from across the nation to develop programs focused on American history, civic engagement, and community education. Officials say Cheever’s trip and participation are being fully funded by the institute.
