Mary M Iacovelli, 74, of Hopedale
1951 - 2026

Born in Worcester on October 18, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Edward X. and Nora M. (Costello) Quinn.

Mary raised her family in Mendon alongside her former husband, Robert “Boo” Iacovelli, before later moving to Hopedale. Though no longer married, the two remained close friends throughout the years, and he will miss her dearly.

She is survived by her children: Daniel Iacovelli and his longtime partner Alicia Sayewich of Hopedale and their children Nicholas, Aiden, and Alexander; Alicia Hanson and her husband William of Mendon and their children Samantha, Kaylie, and Scott; and Timothy Iacovelli of Milford. She also leaves behind her great-grandson Joseph, the son of Kaylie.

Mary is also survived by her brothers, Edward Quinn and his wife Maureen, and James Quinn and his wife Linda; her sister, Anne Shattuck and her husband Howie; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Bernadette Quinn.

Mary will be remembered for the love she shared with family and friends, especially during the holidays when her homemade sausage stuffing, cookies, pizza, and other family favorites brought everyone together. She enjoyed singing in her church choir, performing in local theater productions, knitting, researching family history, reading, traveling, and spending meaningful time with loved ones.

Her warmth, creativity, and devotion to family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
