Upton Historical Society presents Upton Heritage Day on Saturday Sep 26th from 9-2 at Upton’s Town Common and surrounding areas, which is a special occasion dedicated to honoring and celebrating the rich tapestry of culture, tradition, and rich history that shape our vibrant community. The significance of Heritage Day lies in its ability to remind us of the importance of preserving our cultural legacy. By acknowledging our heritage, we not only affirm our identity but also promote respect and appreciation for the differences that make our town unique.
Upton Historical Society plays a central role by organizing exhibitions, storytelling sessions, and tours that teach younger generations about their roots. Such initiatives help strengthen our community and ensure that traditions and history are passed down through the years. The following offerings will be available on Upton Heritage Day.

• Live Entertainment: Enjoy musical performances on the Town Common and stop by Rushford and Sons Brewhouse on Grove St
• Culinary Delights: Savory delicious food from the United Parish Snack Bar (hamburgers, hotdogs, apple crisp), Soul Fuel Café (baked goods) and Rushford and Sons Brewhouse
• Upton Historical Narrated 1hr Mini-Bus Tour: Limited to 28 people
The tour includes various sites listed on the National Register of Historic Places: Upton Common, West Upton Center, 1812 Boot Shop, Heritage Park Cave ~1500 AD and the 1935 Civilian Conservation Corp Camp at Upton State Forest

Upton Heritage Day serves as a celebration and a way for the community to come together. It is a fantastic way to connect with the town’s history, support local businesses and non-profit organizations, and enjoy a day of fun and community spirit.
