1942 - 2026
Nancy spent her childhood summers in Pennsylvania, where she enjoyed exploring farms with her cousins. She attended secretarial school, graduating first in her class, and went on to work as an administrative assistant at Cornell University—where she met her beloved husband, Bob.
Nancy and Bob shared 61 wonderful years of marriage, beginning their journey together with a memorable honeymoon driving the entirety of Route 66. Together, they built a loving family that became the center of Nancy’s world.
She is lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Susan Listman of Haltom City, Texas (predeceased by her husband Glenn), and Rebecca Ballinger and her husband Dan of Franklin, Massachusetts. She was a devoted and proud grandmother to Lauren (25), Isabel (21), and Jason (14), who brought her immense joy and pride. She is also survived by her brother, Larry Conley and his wife Arta of Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
Nancy found joy in sewing, traveling, and cheering on her favorite sports, including baseball, bowling, and golf. An accomplished golfer, she won several tournaments and proudly achieved multiple holes-in-one throughout the years. She also had a fondness for life’s simple pleasures—like enjoying whipped cream and spending time with loved ones.
In her later years, Nancy was cared for with kindness and dignity at Bridges by EPOCH in Sudbury. Her family is especially grateful for the compassionate care provided by K2, Kelly, and Greg.
Nancy’s life was one of resilience, generosity, and meaningful connection. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 7, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington Street.
The family kindly requests that donations be made in Nancy’s memory to support Alzheimer’s awareness.
