Robert Weddeke, 79, of Bellingham
1947 - 2026

Born in South Hempstead, New York, he was the son of the late Frederick Weddeke and Philomena (Serzo) Weddeke. Robert earned his Associate’s Degree in Agriculture from Farmingdale State College.

He was a dedicated and hardworking businessman, co-owning and operating Fred Weddeke Landscaping in Freeport, Long Island, alongside his older brother. In later years, he owned and operated his own trucking business.

Robert grew up in Wantagh, Long Island, and later lived in East Rockaway before eventually settling in Franklin and Bellingham, Massachusetts.

He had a lifelong passion for motorcycles, enjoying riding, maintaining, and attending motorcycle shows. He also took great pride in designing outdoor landscapes, a skill that reflected both his profession and personal interests.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three sons: Neal O. Weddeke and his wife Alicia, Joseph P. Weddeke and his wife Jillian, and Sean M. Weddeke and his wife Alisha, all of Bellingham. He also leaves behind his five grandchildren: Damien, Aurora, Lily, William, and Kyleigh, as well as his sister Helen Zehentner of New York, and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his siblings Benjamin, Frederick, Ann, and Arnold.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation will take place. Family and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, May 5th at 9:00 AM at St. Blaise Church, 1158 South Main Street, Bellingham. A private committal service will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. There are no visiting hours.
