MILFORD – The Milford Historical Commission and Friends of the Milford Town Library will host a special book talk on May 2nd highlighting the stories of two local World War II veterans. The event will focus on “Citizen Soldier: A Story of War, Friendship and Remembrance,” which tells the story of John Villani and Lou Gentile, who served as infantry riflemen in Europe after being inducted in 1944.

The book was compiled from Villani’s memoirs by his daughters, Paula Bruggeman and Karen Gulledge, and offers a personal look at wartime experiences and lifelong friendships.
