MILFORD – Some troops serving overseas will soon receive a taste of home, thanks to Milford-based nonprofit Thanks To Yanks. The organization is sending care packages filled with Girl Scout Cookies, continuing one of its longest-standing traditions.
Founder and President Michael Shain says the packages serve as a reminder that those serving abroad are “appreciated and not forgotten.” The group supports service members in multiple ways, and more information can be found at https://www.thankstoyanks.org.
