Rose Marie DeCesare, 90, of Westborough
1936 - 2026

Rose was the devoted wife of Joseph J. DeCesare, with whom she shared more than 61 years of marriage. She was a deeply loving mother to her twins, Gregory J. DeCesare of Marshfield and Faith A. DeCesare of Westborough, and a cherished grandmother to AJ and Nick DeCesare of Marshfield. She is also survived by her sister, Barbara A. Gilman of Ashland.

A graduate of Holliston High School, Rose was well known for her warm personality and was active in varsity sports during her school years. She later worked for many years as an executive secretary at General Electric Telechron in Ashland.

Rose was a woman of deep faith and compassion, dedicating much of her life to caring for others. She quietly served those around her with kindness—whether it was baking, preparing meals, offering rides, helping with tasks, or simply being present to listen, laugh, or share in both joys and sorrows. Above all, she carried countless people in her prayers, offering unwavering support through her faith.

In her quiet time, Rose found joy in simple pleasures. She loved tending to her garden, reading, walking, baking, and visiting the beach, where she enjoyed collecting shells and sea glass. She especially cherished watching the ocean, often waiting for her son to safely return from a day of lobstering.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Sidney Corey and her sisters Dorothy Carpinetti and Oleva Picard. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and dear friends whom she loved deeply, including Debbie DePersia, who quickly became a special part of her life and family.

Funeral services will be held privately under the care of Chesmore Funeral Home in Holliston.

In Rose’s memory, consider planting flowers in your yard, making a donation to the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, or offering support to a family in need.
