FRANKLIN – Two people were arrested for OUI in Franklin following an unusual sequence of events stemming from the same traffic stop. Police say an officer initially pulled over a driver for speeding on King Street Thursday night and arrested them for OUI and having an open container.
The passenger, who was also reportedly intoxicated, was given a ride home. However, about an hour later, the same passenger drove to the Franklin Police Department while still intoxicated and was arrested at the station for OUI as well.
