James “Jimmy” V. Damiano, Jr., 78, of Milford
1947 - 2026

Jimmy graduated from Roslindale High School with the Class of 1965 before continuing his education at the former Boston Business School and later attending Phoenix College. His education helped lay the groundwork for a successful career at Zayre Department Stores, where he was known not only as a hardworking and dedicated employee, but also as a lively personality—especially as the DJ at the company’s Christmas parties.

Ambitious and driven, Jimmy later ventured beyond the corporate world to pursue his entrepreneurial interests. Through independent endeavors, he showcased his strong work ethic, creativity, and determination. His willingness to take risks and forge his own path reflected both his resilience and passion for personal and professional growth.

In his personal life, Jimmy was a loving and devoted husband to Anita D. (Lewis) Damiano. Together, they built a life centered on love, laughter, and family. He is survived by his son, Tucker Damiano of Wareham; his daughters, Gianna Shepherd of England and her husband Andrew, and Micaela Tuell of Winchester and her husband David; and his sister, Marie Carle of Wareham. He also leaves behind several siblings from his late father’s second marriage to his stepmother, Nona.

Jimmy’s greatest joy came from his growing family. He cherished his grandchildren—Jocelyn, Joey, Anthony, Samantha, Charlie, George, and Gianni—as well as his role as a great-grandfather.

A passionate sports fan, Jimmy proudly supported all Boston teams, including the Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins, and Celtics. He also had a deep love for music, particularly 1950s classics and doo-wop, which reflected his vibrant and spirited nature. His Italian heritage and strong sense of family were central to who he was. His loved ones find comfort in imagining him reunited with those who came before him, enjoying a joyful Italian feast.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Buma-Sargeant Funeral Home, 42 Congress Street, Milford, Massachusetts. A brief memorial service will follow at 4:00 PM.
