The Medfield girls lacrosse team enters the new season with sky-high expectations after another dominant campaign in 2025. The Warriors finished last spring with a 17-3 regular-season record and earned the No. 1 seed in the D3 playoff bracket, then backed that up with a postseason run that showed just how difficult they are to stop.
Medfield outscored opponents 93-29 in the playoffs and closed the year with an 18-8 win over Newburyport in the final, adding another championship to a program that has made winning a habit. The Warriors were equally impressive in 2024, when they finished 22-3 and won the D3 title. That stretch of success has made Medfield one of the most respected programs in the state, and preseason recognition reflects that status.
According to the Boston Globe, Medfield is ranked among the top teams in Eastern Massachusetts, behind Concord-Carlisle, Walpole, Notre Dame and Cohasset. The Warriors will once again be expected to contend for the D3 crown, and they return a roster with the kind of pedigree that keeps opponents wary. Defender Paige Henebry stands out as a key player to watch and will be an important part of Medfield’s defensive attack as the team looks to keep its championship standard intact.
