MILFORD — Authorities have not released any new information following Friday’s evacuation of a busy section of downtown Milford.

Police responding to a call for an unattended death on Main Street near Exchange Street discovered several suspicious objects that they believed could possibly be homemade explosives. A large emergency response followed, with sections of nearby roads closed for about two hours.

The Milford Fire Department and the Massachusetts State Police Bomb Squad investigated the scene and determined there was no ongoing threat. Officials have not said whether anyone will face charges or if the items were connected to the reported death.
