UPTON — The Upton Cultural Council has awarded 12 grants totaling $7,100 for the coming year to support a wide range of local arts, cultural, and educational programs.

Officials say this round of funding will help bring multiple musical performances and concerts in a variety of genres to the community, along with a workshop focused on tracing ancestral roots through immigration, an art program, and several local historical presentations. Grants will also support a theatrical performance depicting Historical Women at Memorial Elementary School, as well as a multi-cultural fair within the local school district.

The Council notes that the next grant cycle is expected to open in early September 2026.
