Milford Boys Basketball Losing Streak Continues

The Milford Scarlet Hawks boys basketball team remains mired in a difficult stretch, having dropped seven straight games since their last win against the Canton Bulldogs on January sixth. Milford has struggled to consistently execute offensively and to contain opponents, issues that surfaced again in Tuesday night’s 81-52 loss to the Attleboro Bombadiers.

Milford got solid efforts from Matt Dasilva and Jason Stokes. Dasilva scored 21 points with two rebounds and two assists, while Stokes added 13 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Outside of those two, however, the Scarlet Hawks’ offensive contributions were limited, and Milford could not muster consistent stops as Attleboro controlled the game.

Milford falls to 3-12 on the year and faces the Foxborough Warriors tonight at 6:30 PM. Foxborough is 7-5 this season and comes into the matchup off a loss to Oliver Ames on Tuesday. Milford will need more balanced scoring and steadier defense if it hopes to halt the slide against a solid Foxborough squad looking to get back into the win column.
