MILFORD – A Brazilian national living in Milford has been arrested on federal charges connected to child pornography. The U.S. Attorney’s Office says 21-year-old Joao Carlos Tavares Da Silva was taken into custody last week and appeared before a federal court in Worcester.
Federal officials say Da Silva had an outstanding warrant in Brazil related to allegations including statutory rape and the production of child pornography. Investigators report that a search of his Milford home uncovered electronic devices containing multiple images of child pornography, which they say appeared to involve an alleged victim located in Brazil.
