Hopedale’s boys basketball team kept rolling with a dominant second-half performance in a 62-42 win over Keefe Tech Tuesday night. The victory improved the Blue Raiders to 7-1 and continued a strong stretch after a close 55-49 loss to Northbridge earlier this month.

The Broncos led 28-19 at halftime, but Hopedale flipped the script behind an overpowering third quarter. The Blue Raiders outscored Keefe Tech 28-6 in the third frame and then finished with a 15-8 fourth quarter to put the game away. Urijah Rosas and Keagan Murphy paced the attack with 18 points apiece, while J.J. Douglas added 15. Hopedale’s third-quarter defense fed transition chances and helped generate the scoring burst that decided the game.

That second-half performance was a reminder of how quickly Hopedale can change tempo when its half-court execution and defensive effort align. The Blue Raiders will test that form tonight against a 6-3 Worcester Tech squad that arrives off a 65-41 win over Nipmuc. If Hopedale can replicate the third-quarter dominance it showed versus Keefe Tech, the Blue Raiders should be in position to extend their streak and assert themselves as a serious D5 contender.
