Whitinsville Christian’s boys basketball program finally returns from an extended holiday layoff and will look to build on a perfect 3-0 start when the Crusaders host Douglas tonight at 6:30 p.m. Whitinsville last played on December 22, a 51-40 win over Quaboag Regional in which Ethan Curry poured in a game-high 22 points and Gabe Deters added 18.

Curry has been the team’s engine, averaging 19 points per game, while Deters supplies complementary scoring at about 13.7 points per outing. Those two have led Whitinsville Christian’s early-season identity: aggressive scoring from the perimeter, high-energy defensive pressure, and a willingness to push the pace on offense.

Douglas arrives struggling at 0-7, which gives the Crusaders a chance to continue sharpening rotation patterns and bench minutes as the schedule ramps up. The break could present matchup rust, but Whitinsville’s coaching staff will emphasize fundamentals and focus on sustaining offensive balance while tightening defensive schemes. If Curry and Deters remain hot, the Crusaders will be heavy favorites to extend the unbeaten start.
