WESTBOROUGH – A public meeting will be held in the coming weeks to give residents a closer look at the proposed “peanut rotary” traffic merge planned for Downtown Westborough.
Supporters of the design say the peanut-shaped rotary would improve safety and traffic flow, while critics argue the project could be more expensive than the benefits it provides. According to The Community Advocate, although the Planning Board will ultimately decide on the final design, funding for the project would need approval from Town Meeting. A public hearing on the proposal is tentatively scheduled for late this month or early February.
