BLACKSTONE – A contractor remains hospitalized after falling approximately 15 feet from one icy roof onto another on Saturday.
Blackstone Fire Chief Kevin Roy says firefighters responded to a home on David Drive where the worker fell from the roof of the house onto the roof of an attached garage. Because of windy conditions and ice on the roofs, Chief Roy says crews had to perform careful and delicate rescue operations to safely bring the contractor to the ground.
The worker was alert at the scene but suffered traumatic injuries and was flown by medical helicopter to a hospital for treatment.
