FRANKLIN — The 14th Annual Franklin Turkey Trot has shattered fundraising records, bringing in an unprecedented $55,108 to support the Franklin Food Pantry.

Pantry officials say more than 1,000 participants took part in this year’s event, helping to set the all-time high. Every dollar raised goes directly to the Pantry’s programs and services, which provided food assistance nearly 27,000 times last year to individuals and families in need.

Organizers say the surge in donations comes at a crucial moment. The Pantry is experiencing unprecedented demand, including a significant rise in new clients seeking help.

The record-breaking support from the community will help the Pantry continue its mission through the difficult winter months ahead.
