MILFORD – Sweet Inspirations, a local candy store in Milford, brought in a gift donation box through their partnership with Toys for Tots. From now until Christmas Day, visitors can stop by their store to drop off toy donations for children in need.
Unused toys left unwrapped are preferred, according to Sweet Inspirations Co-Founder Jennifer Walsh. All donations will be wrapped by Toys for Tots and will be distributed to struggling families across the Milford area.
Walsh, who has been partnered with Toys for Tots for five years, received approval to have her own donation box for the first time during her tenure. Since receiving the non-profit’s gift box, Walsh promised that she will always do her best to help the needs of struggling families.
“Milford is such a wonderful community, and it’s known for doing that [donations]” according to Walsh. “If we can get the word out, then the community will, once again, step up”.
Sweet Inspirations is located at 19 Central Street in Milford, open on Tuesdays through Fridays from 11 AM to 6 PM, and Saturdays from 10 AM to 4 PM. To request a toy, visit the Toys for Tots website.
