WHITINSVILLE – A Whitinsville man is being held on $100,000 bail after Milford Police say he attempted to run someone over with his truck and then beat the victim with a baseball bat Friday night. According to police, surveillance video from near Main Street Market appears to show Andre Oliveira Gomes driving his pickup truck toward another man in an attempt to hit him before getting out and attacking the victim with a bat.
Gomes fled the scene but was located and arrested about 30 minutes later by Hopedale Police. He faces multiple charges, including Assault with Intent to Murder. The victim was transported to a hospital, though no update on his condition has been released.
