FRANKLIN – A piece of music that may not have been heard in over a century will be performed this weekend in Franklin — and in a way it’s never been heard before.
On Sunday, November 16, the Live Arts String Quartet will present its inaugural concert at the Franklin Historical Museum. The program will feature masterworks by Mozart, Beethoven, and Brahms, along with a special historical piece by Edwin Trowbridge of the Trowbridge Piano Company.
As reported by the Franklin Observer, Trowbridge’s “Franklin Grand March”, written for piano around 1872, has been specially arranged for string quartet, bringing the long-forgotten composition to life in a new way.
