BLACKSTONE – It hurts to see children not receive any gifts under their Christmas Tree due to financial constraints, but a special local event is responding to that. On November 28th, Wojcik’s Farm in Blackstone is opening their fifth annual “Holiday Shopping Toy Drive and Santa Visit at Wojcik’s”, which will include a toy drive to help families in need.

This “feel-good” event will feature 20+ local vendors selling homemade goods, several food trucks, a special visit from Santa Claus himself, and a toy drive. Guests are encouraged to bring new or used unwrapped toys.

As of now, the landing spot for donated toys is not yet confirmed. However, Wojcik’s Farm owner Nancy Wojcik mentions that they will be accessible in the Blackstone Valley area.

The addition of a toy drive was inspired by other community events, with Wojcik stressing the importance of toy drives as Christmas approaches.

“A lot of children will have something to open for Christmas” says Wojcik when asked about the importance of her event’s toy drive. “The little things people bring in…someone will have a better Christmas this season”.

The success of previous toy drives from this seasonal event “brings tears to my eyes”, according to Wojcik. “All the excitement on the kids’ faces…it’s such a feel-good thing to see”.
