The Hopedale Blue Raiders faced off against the Douglas Tigers yesterday and delivered a commanding performance, winning 5-0. Hopedale has been playing some of its best soccer over the past ten games, going 6-1-3, and they are 3-0-1 in their last four matches.

Against the Tigers, the Blue Raiders produced a balanced attacking effort. Cardoso netted two goals, Pomavilla scored his first varsity goal, and Monteville added a goal while also recording two assists. Hopedale generated several quality scoring chances, played airtight defense, and benefited from strong goaltending in the shutout.

Hopedale currently sits as the No. 4 seed in D5 boys soccer, behind Boston International, Saint John Paul II, and Rockport. The Blue Raiders have a realistic shot to move up the seeds and will travel to face the Sutton Sammies on Friday at 4 PM. Sutton has been superb this season at 13-1-1 and is the No. 1 seed in D4 boys soccer. A win on the road would further establish Hopedale among the upper echelon of their division.
