Medway’s football team has been impressive early, sitting at 3-1 after an emphatic run through its schedule. The Mustangs opened with a 54-0 shellacking of Dighton-Rehoboth, followed by a razor-thin 14-13 loss to Pentucket. They rebounded with a 49-14 win over Falmouth and most recently posted a 34-20 victory over Westwood.

Against Westwood, the offense showed balance. Quarterback Logan Keaney completed 6-of-9 passes for 101 yards and a touchdown, while running back Christian Cautilli churned out 86 yards on 14 carries and added a rushing TD. Medway’s defense complemented the attack with timely stops and situational play, allowing the offense to control tempo and convert in key moments.

This Friday Medway faces a major challenge: 4-0 Medfield, fresh off a 44-22 victory over Nipmuc. Medfield’s front seven and linebackers are stout and will be tasked with containing Medway’s run game, notably RB Brady McCormack, who has been a consistent big-play threat. This TVL showdown will be an early-season measuring stick. Medway will need to execute on both lines and sustain third-down success to walk away with a signature win.
