The Holliston Panthers girls’ volleyball team ran into a dominant Medfield squad and were swept in straight sets, 11-25, 13-25, 8-25. Holliston arrived at the match with a solid 6-3 record coming off a 3-0 win over Norton, but Medfield’s sharper attack and steadier ball control proved overwhelming.
Medfield’s offense was crisp, its passing chains were reliable, and its defense limited Holliston’s offensive options. The Panthers struggled to generate consistent sideout opportunities and could not string together the point runs necessary to pressure the Warriors. Holliston now shifts its focus to a road match at Dennis-Yarmouth, a team sitting at 3-7 and currently in a rough patch.
This loss should be a reset signal for Holliston; the Panthers will look to get back to the fundamentals, serving accuracy, passing consistency, and transition hitting to regain the confidence that produced recent wins. A favorable matchup at Dennis-Yarmouth offers a timely opportunity to rebound and get back on track.
