Milford High has gotten a $5000 grant toward its jewelry and metalsmithing classes. Patch reports that the grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council was awarded to art and design teacher Anne Snyder and will help buy tools, materials and equipment for the classes which include soldering, casting, stone-setting and metal fabrication. The program also includes field trips. There are about 115 students in the program which includes an exhibition where they can showcase and even sell their art.
