Watch for roadwork this week on Franklin’s West Central Street as part of the upgrade of the Beaver Street Interceptor. All this week from 7am to 4pm crews are working on installation of the sewer force main within Route 140. The work will be contained within the southbound lane from Burger King to Beaver Street but there will be daily lane closures. The town is replacing much of the Interceptor which is Franklin’s largest piece of sewer infrastructure, originally constructed in, and running since, 1914.
