Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry Reaches Incredible Heights Towards Patron Visits

SHARE NOW

There are several non-profit organizations that serve to give food to families in need. However, Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry in Bellingham takes the cake, serving 80 households per week.

Located at 1158 South Main Street in Bellingham, Loaves and Fishes is committed to offering greatly discounted food each month for our local community. With sponsors like the Greater Boston Food Bank and Spoonfuls, Inc., 320 bags of food plus other necessities are distributed at a consistent basis.

According to the pantry’s annual GBFB report, there have been over 11 thousand patron visits from July 1st, 2024 to June 30th, 2025. These results show no sign of stagnating, as Loaves and Fishes welcome new households every week, meaning the number will continue to increase.

As for donations, The Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry accept “hardy produce”. This includes, but are not limited to, fresh potatoes, carrots, onions, apples, canned beans, canned chicken, whole grains including rice, quinoa, and low sugar cereals. Household products including toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, hand soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste are also considered. If you would like to donate, you can drop off items with the pantry’s volunteers on Mondays between 9am and 11:30am, or Tuesdays from 9am-12:30 pm.
