More than 150 jobs could be on the chopping block with cannabis cultivator Ayr Wellness announcing the closure of their Milford facility. Based in Miami, Ayr has locations in several states but its 217,000-square-foot facility in Milford employs 157 people. The Worcester Business Journal reports Ayr has been downsizing since suffering a drop in stock values. Insiders say as cannabis use expands in legality, cannabis flower is now more readily available and no longer a niche industry.
