Franklin Panthers’ rising sophomore Cam Lambert was a catalyst in the Bulldogs’ championship run at the 15U Northeast Summer Championships in Maine. Franklin’s squad captured the tournament crown thanks in large part to Cam’s balanced offensive prowess and baserunning savvy.

Over the multi‑game event, Lambert batted an impressive .471 (8 hits in 17 at‑bats), including two doubles and four walks, elevating his on‑base percentage to over .600. He scored nine runs, frequently igniting rallies, and swiped three bases to apply constant pressure on defenses. Cam also drove in two runs, providing timely middle‑of‑the‑order production.

The pinnacle of Lambert’s performance came in the championship game: with the score tied and extra innings looming, Cam delivered the walk‑off run, sprinting home on a clutch hit to seal Franklin’s title. Though teammate Jacoby Brown earned tournament MVP honors for his dominant pitching and timely hits, Cam’s contributions were equally vital and did not go unnoticed by coaches or scouts.

Joining Cam in having excellent summers were fellow Panthers Owen Pennini and Brown, both of whom made All‑Tournament teams for their pitching and hitting exploits. With that returning core and emerging talents like Lambert ready to step into larger varsity roles, Franklin’s spring season shapes up as a must‑watch affair. Expect the Panthers, led by sophomores Cam and Jacoby, to carry their summer momentum into a deep varsity playoff run next year.
