Hudson Legion Baseball has been on a thrilling run at the 2025 Massachusetts Legion State Championship. After falling 4–3 to a talented Fall River squad in the opener, despite Michael Domino’s seven‑inning, five‑strikeout outing and Chase Barrett’s three‑RBI double, Hudson rebounded in the double‑elimination bracket.
Next up, North Attleboro jumped to an early lead, but Hudson answered with timely hitting and bullpen heroics. Michael Benway reached base four times, drove in two runs, and stole two bases, while Michael Atwater locked down the save with two scoreless innings, sealing a 12–6 victory.
Last night at Quincy’s Adams Field, Hudson faced elimination against Leominster. With the season hanging in the balance, Anthony Moura carried the staff with a gritty performance on the mound, and Chris Aucoin followed with three no‑hit innings to keep Hudson within striking distance. In the bottom of the 11th, perennial catalyst Michael Benway delivered again—this time with a walk‑off single that sent Hudson to the final four.
Hudson’s Cinderella run continues tonight with a rematch against Fall River. After twice pushing the favorite to the brink, Hudson will look to keep its momentum alive and extend a season defined by resilience, clutch pitching, and timely hitting.
